The nigerian music scene came buzzing yet again around the 1st week of october with NotjustOk.com and a few blazing nigerian artists.Everyone be wondering what really transpired as regards the much talked about beef between the popular website and Kel FST, Zino Beno, Lakes B, Kelvin Leye and Mr Jembe. As an ardent supporter and stunch follower of nigerian music i was caught off guard with this buzzing story on twitter.com. As i checked what was trending at the moment on twitter i saw #FuckNotjustOk as the number one trend. Am like, what is happening here. Then i rushed to Ovie Ofugara's timeline to check his tweets and i was kept abreast with happenings as regards the beef. I later stumbled upon Kel FST and Zino Benos' tweets and i saw how bitter these artistes were. After asking around and sending series of Direct Messages to Kel FST, Zino Beno and fast rising producer MLV i fully understood what the problem in question was. Kel FST complained to Ovie and his team on how Z-list artistes (if i may say) in nigeria are being maltreated by their website when compared to A-List artistes. He (Kel FST) himself has been ignored by notjustok.com but wasnt bothered because his music was still out there on some radio stations and also online and doing good as well. FST's anger was further aggravated when he claims he got mails from other fellow artistes who have been maltreated by the almighty notjustok and also have been extorted just to get their songs on the site. These other artistes claim to have sent thier well above average songs to notjustok and gotten no replies. Even after sending them several mails all to no avail. Kel FST now teamed up with fellow comrade and bossom friend Zino Beno, who has also faced the long arm of the notjustok law, to get Ovies attention. What better way than to trend #Fuck #Notjustok on twitter and tag the flying winged shoulderd notjustok founder Ovie Ofugara. So they did and this immediately caught his attention. From the tweets i personally saw Ovie didnt handle the matter in a matured way like he's supposed to. Instead of going private and settling the matter with these artistes and applying a patch of Iodine on their never healing bruise he further flamed the issue. Not to sound biased and take sides the artistes should have also been calm but in a way when you have talent for music and you get ignored it can be very annoying. I took time to visit each of these artistes online to download their songs just to know more about them and where they were coming from, and believe me i wasnt dissappointed beacause they really know their onions.
As the daily tweets went on for days everyone on twitter, especially nigerians, kept asking what was really up. Ovie made matters worse by reporting to his A-list artiste friends and fellow stakeholders in naija music. According to Kel, he said he just asked Ovie and his team for better treatment and equal rights for all artistes be you A-list or Z-list (permit me again). He teased Ovie about doing a Diss song for his team and am sure Mr Ofugara took Kel FST for granted and laughed about the idea. The next day brought more fun and i can rightly say this beef was and is far more interesting than the 9ce alapomeji and Ruggedybaba beef. A 'Fuck Notjustok 10-10-10' poster hit facebook showing a guy vommiting musical notes and also followed by another poster wich had a little girl with a burning F-U sign with the same 'Fuck Notjustok 10-10-10' inscription. I said to myself this is serious, now we officially have a beef going on. Kenny Ogungbe put up a retweet on Ovies twitter and said in quote ''this one mean say u too go enter studio go record your own naa''. We kept asking Kel FST what 10-10-10 on those posters meant and he replied 'i and a bunch of talented acts will drop a song ironing out the issues as regards notjustok.com'. Lo and behold at exactly midnight of the 9th of October, i kept my coffee beside me and waited for it & there it was on Kel FST's facebook page, 'I KILLED IT - Kel FST ft Zino, LakesBrizzle, kelvin Leye and Mr Jembe'. I quickly downloaded the song and heard it more than a million times, they really killed the track and am like these guys are serious and crazy and need to be out there competing with the likes of M.I, Banky and all other so called A-List artistes. The song blew me over and it was the talk of facebook and twitter. Every nigerian on my timeline on twitter kept talking about this song and told Ovie to mend fences with these artistes. Am sure the dope nature of the song shocked Ovie and he was quiet for days.

He later responded on a post put up on notjustok.com by popular Ms Uduak and what he did on his comment was what i personally feel he should have done in the first instance. He commended the artistes for a job welldone and said he wished they will channel this talent into more positive songs other than the diss song. This attitude was just ok but his previous way of handling the matter was not just ok. The notjustok diss song was done over a Chris Brown beat called 'Deuces' and is still a masterpiece. Almost everyone i know with an MP3 enabled mobile phone have the song on thier playlists. Kudos to notjustok for always dishing out good nigerian music and kudos to Kel FST, Zino Beno, LakesBrizzle, MLV, Mr Jembe, Kelvin Leye for pointing out these issues and letting their pain known. Am sure all is well now with both parties (or is it, just saying) as regards the beef. Honestly i still play that song over and over because they really killed it. The song can be found online just incase u want a feel of it, just google *notjustok diss*. God bless nigerian music. More beef please, err serve me turkey this time, thanks.
